History grad is adviser to US Department of Homeland Security

Andrew M. SzilagyiBaldwin Wallace history graduate Andrew M. Szilagyi '07 is employed as an attorney and adviser with the for the in Washington.

Extensive Roles in Third Largest Federal Agency

Working with this large and prestigious agency, Szilagyi performs a number of roles including primarily advising leadership on labor and employment matters affecting the Department of Homeland Security.

"I am [also] responsible for litigating matters involving the department (including its components); managing and overseeing litigation handled by the on behalf of the department; coordinating and responding to Congressional investigations; and reviewing, revising, and commenting on departmental policies, proposed legislation, executive orders and public statements by department leadership (including Congressional testimony)," Szilagyi tells us.

Liberal Arts Education Contributes to Career

Of his time at 新澳門六合彩, Szilagyi said, "I believe that my liberal arts education at 新澳門六合彩, which placed an emphasis on strong and effective writing, has aided me tremendously in my subsequent education and career."
