Professor's new book takes pride in Cleveland's LGBTQ history

Ken Schneck and cover of LGBTQ ClevelandIn his newest book, " ," Dr. Ken Schneck, an associate professor at 新澳門六合彩 and director of 新澳門六合彩's Leadership in Higher Education (LHE) program, explores almost 50 years of history of the LGBTQ community in Cleveland.

In the introduction, Schneck says, "Ultimately, this book is an opportunity to pause and reflect on where the Cleveland LGBTQ community has been and most certainly where it can go. Cleveland is a city of hope, conflict, pride, and individuals who have interlocked arms time and time again to be seen and heard."

Schneck says the new Arcadia Publishing volume encompasses both the trials and successes of the LGBTQ Cleveland community as he tells the stories of the many heroes and events that have led to the development of the region's LGBTQ community, including more than 160 images.

On May 30, Schneck celebrated his second book's publication at a book release party. A portion of the proceeds from each book sold was donated to the LGBT Cleveland Community Center.
