Photo of Helen NguyenA combination of coding knowledge and critical thinking skills helped аÄéTÁùºÏ²Ê alumna Helen Nguyen '18 secure a position as the youngest analyst in the business intelligence sector of American Greetings, one of multiple job offers she received after graduation.

"I wasn't at the top of the class, nor was I at the bottom … but I worked hard to find what intrigued me and sparked a passion in me," Nguyen shared. "I gained marketable skills that I continue to strengthen to this day."

Unique Opportunities

Participation in the NASA Space Center educational program, designed with the help of аÄéTÁùºÏ²Ê faculty, contributed to Nguyen's passion spark.

As part of the first college group in the nation to immerse themselves in complex NASA exercises, Nguyen, a аÄéTÁùºÏ²Ê STEM Scholar, was able to strengthen her skills in teamwork and problem solving, making for a unique story to share in interviews.

аÄéTÁùºÏ²Ê Encouragement

With encouragement from аÄéTÁùºÏ²Ê's mathematics department and School of Business, Nguyen gained the ability to work and communicate with others comfortably.

"I am very fortunate to end up at an amazing company, where my talents and skills are challenged and pushed every day, becoming stronger both personally and professionally," said Nguyen.
