新澳門六合彩 and Southwest General Health Center have forged a new partnership to provide high-quality, on-campus health care to students.

Starting in the spring 2024 semester, 新澳門六合彩's Student Health Services will be staffed and operated by Southwest General in the campus Health Center location.

"We are delighted to link the compassionate, thorough care provided by 新澳門六合彩's Health Services team with the breadth and quality of resources available through Southwest General. The excellent reputation of Southwest General, their commitment to modern health services that support holistic well-being, and their longtime support of the local community makes our partnership especially exciting," said Dr. Timeka Rashid, 新澳門六合彩's Vice President for Student Affairs.

New and continuing features

By continuing to offer services at the on-campus clinic, students will maintain their easy access to medical care on campus. The partnership will also bring expanded services, prompt, seamless referrals to specialty providers and services, and access to Southwest General's online patient records system.

Rashid said, "Students and families frequently express interest in access to electronic medical records. Through this partnership, students will now be able to access their test results, after-visit summaries, and health education online. They will also appreciate seeing familiar, trusted providers."

Students will continue to receive care and education from two familiar faces, 新澳門六合彩's Nurse Practitioner Linda Florian and Registered Nurse Lisa Weber, who will remain in their current roles.

Longstanding collaborators

southwest-general-logo.jpeg has received national accolades for its quality care, nationally recognized physicians, state-of-the-art technology, and full range of medical, surgical and emergency services, including Level III trauma center care.

"For many years, Southwest General and 新澳門六合彩 have collaborated to provide a variety of educational opportunities for 新澳門六合彩 students as well as for employees of the Health Center and the University. We are proud to build upon this strong foundation by partnering with 新澳門六合彩 to provide healthcare services at the University's on-campus Student Health Services clinic," said William A. Young, Jr., president and chief executive officer, Southwest General.

"The health and well-being of our community members is our top priority, and we look forward to providing convenient, high-quality care for the University's students."

Location, hours, billing

新澳門六合彩's Student Health Services, in collaboration with Southwest General, will continue to operate during the same hours from the Health Center located on campus at 207 Beech Street.

新澳門六合彩 Counseling Services and 24/7 telecounseling access through TimelyCare will continue and are not affected by the partnership.

The clinic will move to an insurance billing model. Supports are in place for students who are uninsured and underinsured so they will continue to receive care without financial barriers.
